Error when trying to print from portal

I am trying to print a web map from the print widget in ArcGIS portal and keep getting the error message below....

"Error executing tool. Export Web Map Task Job ID: jde3d6d2a351846eb7a5ee3e555248 : Layer "World_Imagery_2017": Unable to connect to map server at http://services.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/World_Imagery/MapServer."

I am able to print with other base maps just not the arcgis online ones.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Justin,

This issue is caused by the fact that the Export Web Map Task cannot access the resource from ArcGIS Online. Please review this Esri KnowledgeBase Article for some background:

Error: Error executing tool.: Layer "layername": Unable to connect to map server at http://server/path. Failed to execut…

The KnowledgeBase Article has suggestions on things to check for to help troubleshoot the issue. I believe this issue can be addressed by ensuring the service account that ArcGIS Server runs under can access ArcGIS Online through the network proxy.

Were you able to figure this out? My portal (and Web AppBuilder applications with the print widget) can print my own services and i can print outside public services like https://geohealth.hhs.gov/arcgis/sharing/servers/11e49b2f31b04811a339cf0865806711/rest/services/LiveFeeds/USGS_Seismic_Data/MapServer

But i get an error whenever there is a esri basemap involved.

Here are the errors i get in arcgis server manager
