Just as a follow-up if it helps anyone, I restarted my machine and the SRTM hillshade displayed correctly. It was certainly due to some hardware limitation with ongoing processes on my machine...

Visible scale for Referenced Mosaic Dataset Function? | ArcGIS Desktop 10.5.1

Hi,

I loaded SRTM3 tiles into a Mosaic Dataset held in a FGBD under ArcGIS Desktop 10.5.1. Then I created a Referenced Function Mosaic Dataset in order to display hillshading...

However, when I open the Referenced Function Mosaic Dataset in Arcmap in a project, it only displays the hillshade at large scale, beyond 1/2'500'000 or so, no more hillshading!

Moreover, even when displayed on screen, not all the tiles displays at one time, such as shown attached.

Is it some limitation of Functions in ArcMap? Or a processing limitation?

Thanks
