    <description>&lt;P&gt;Is it possible to remove a Global Shape-file layer ( FEMA NFHL for example) or a broken shapefile link without opening the mxd? I was able to successfully remove a shapefile referenced to my computer but no luck with a global shapefile.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
