Hello everyone,

I have a several questions related to mobile geodatabases.

Can I open a mobile .geodatabase with ArcGIS desktop or do I need ArcGIS Pro?

Can I create a .geodatabase with ArcGIS Desktop?

Can a mobile .geodatabase point directly to SDE or do I need a synchronization tool to refresh the database?

How can I view an exiting .geodatabase with ArcGIS desktop and ArcGIS Pro?

How can I add/remove layers to a mobile .geodatabae with ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIs Pro?

They are new to ArcGIS Pro 2.7 are stored in an SQLite database

Then the warning

All mobile geodatabases are stored in SQLite databases, but not all SQLite databases are mobile geodatabases.

Can I create a mobile .geodatabase with ArcGIS desktop?

Can it be done creating and ArcGIS Runtime content?

They are new to ArcGIS Pro 2.7 are stored in an SQLite database

Don't know about the latter, you will have to check the appropriate help documents

All of the demos show them creating mobile geodatabases in Pro, emailing them, and opening them in Pro.

Isn't the intent to be able to use them in mobile apps like Field Maps or the ArcGIS Runtime API for Android?

The 100.12 release notes for Android state they can be Read and edit standalone mobile geodatabases
We were able to sideload them to a directory within our mobile app and read and edit it in our Runtime app.

Is that the point of these things?

For it to work in Field Maps, it seems they may have to be part of a mmpk? But then is the mobile gdb really standalone? And are mmpks no longer read-only then?
