topic Automatically pick crestlines/top/bottoms of sandwaves/(sanddunes)? in Developers Questions

Hi! I am looking for a way to automatically draw crestlines/top/bottoms of sandwaves/(sanddunes) from xyz data, so was wondering if anybody have experience with bedfrom characterization and know about a raster function/equation in ArcGiS pro that can do that (which is not the watershed tool)? I have time-lapse data of the sandwave field so an aim is to plot vectors showing direction and distance of sandwave movement, however that part I am able to do in MATLAB.

I have been able to do it in GRASS by a existing code which uses a curvature map and then extract the most elevated point at a curvature above X in a defined area. However this function creates some undesired gaps in the data, so I am interested if there is another way.

Best regards,

Malin
