Help on xlsform syntax

I am undertaking tree inventory with GeoODK.

After measuring the diameter of alive trees (not less than 30 trees) in a plot, I need to measure only the height of the tress with the MAXIMUM, MINIMUM and MEDIUM diameters.

In an instance where the total trees are even number say 30, then the corresponding medium trees for medium measurement will be for 2 trees.

I need a guide for a formula that will help me answer questions such as

What is the height of the MAXIMUM Diameter tree?

What is the height of the MINIMUM Diameter tree?

What is or are the heights of the MEDIUM Diameter trees?
