It looks like your Mosaic Dataset is using a stretched renderer. Try changing the stretch type to none for the image. Here is a great blog that discusses this issue: Is your raster so bright, you have to wear shades?

As for color matching, you can use the Color Balance Mosaic Dataset (Data Management) tool from ArcToolbox or the Color Correct window.

Here is also an exercise that will take you through the process using the tool: Exercise 5: Color balancing a mosaic dataset

G'day Curt,

Usually this is an option in ArcMAP. Go to Customize->ArcMap Options. Select the Raster tab then the Raster Layer tab. Set the Stretch Type to None.

Now open a new ArcMap Document and then add your mosiac. You should fins the stetch is back to normal.

Cheers
Gordon
