GeoDatabase connection to Microsoft SQL Azure Database form ArcCatlog 10.1

Dear All,

We are encountering a Database connection problem with SQL Azure when connecting form ArcCatlog 10.1.

Error: "unable to connect to database server (with the specified connection parameters)".

We have followed the instructions specified @ http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//00290000003q000000 under SQL SERVER.

All our attempts with possible ways are not successful. If any one found solution please help us to to connect to SQL Azure Database from ArcCatalog 10.1.[ATTACH=CONFIG]16274[/ATTACH]

are you able to connect from SQL Server Managment Studio using the same parameters?

Hi Shannon,

Thanks for your reply, yes i am able to connect through SQL Server Management Studio.

I am able to see list of databases with the connection parameters, but when connecting to the database it is throwing error as "Unable to open the selected database (withe the connection properties)".
