mosaic dataset statistics error

Hi - I've added a bunch of rasters to a mosaic dataset. The maximum cell value found in any of these rasters is 730. After adding the rasters to the mosaic dataset (and viewing it in the same projection), the maximum value found in the statistics is 630. Can anyone explain what might be causing this? No resampling has been done.

I'm using ArcGIS ArcInfo level version 10.0 SP3

When adding the rasters to the mosaic dataset, the raster will not be imported, just the footprint so there is not going to be a resampling error. I would see if the statistics for the mosaic dataset have been calculated and if not be sure that the statistics for each raster is as well. For specific help with your mosaic dataset, then call in to support and we can set up a desktop streaming session and look at your mosaic dataset with you.
