topic EASE grid to WGS 1984 in Data Management Questions

Dear ArcGIS users,

I downloaded some rasters from this website: http://www.globsnow.info/swe/archive_v1.3/
For example using the HDF files, I used the "extract subdataset" tool and chose the subdataset representing the average. Then, I defined the projection as "NSIDC_EASE_Grid_North" (under projected coordinate systems and polar). Finally, I used the "project raster" tool and wanted to transform the projection to WGS 1984, but even if I don't receive any error message, I can still not see the data. Also with "zoom to layer", it remains blank.
I checked for previous posts, but didn't find any solution there. I've already used the "project raster" tool several times without problems. The EASE grid seems to be a special case. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Best,
Anne
