Hi guys!!

I have a line (shapefile) and it cut by three parts, it connected by each end btw. How can I combine it just 1 geometry? Merge tool just combine it as one attribute not by geometry. Meaning the line it becomes a continous line. Even when you select the line then click explode it will not do anything because its just one geometry.

Thanks,

You can do this two ways initially.

Don't use the Merge Tool from the toolbox, use the Merge Function.

In an edit session, select the features to merge.
With the features selected, click the Editor button on the Editor Toolbar and select Merge... from the dropdown menu.

That merge will complete the same as the Dissolve tool (in toolbox), your other option.
