    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;It should (if it was working before upgrade), though generally speaking, it might&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;be better practice to drop and regenerate views with each ArcGIS upgrade.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Keep in mind that 'sdetable -o create view' was originally designed to function &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;with SDEBINARY and/or SDELOB storage geometry columns; best practice for&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;ST_GEOMETRY and other native geometry type is to use SQL to define the view,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;then register the result with 'sdelayer -o register' (Note: the spatial reference&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;[-R] parameter is *not* optional at 10.1) or use the 10.1 Register with Geodatabase&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;tool.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;- V&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
