(If so, maybe you can link me to an existing post).</SPAN><BR /><BR /><SPAN>Generally, I am trying to create a new shape file (I can create an empty shape file) using selective polygons from an existing shape file. More specifically, and as an example, I am trying to create a shape file that when displayed will show specific quarter quarters of a section. I have a shape file that has all of the quarter quarters in it. For instance, new shape file WR1000 should include the NWNW, NENE and the NESW of a section.
