I used traditional versioning and applied topology to the dataset’s feature classes. I published the service with versioned feature classes, but did not include topology as a separate item. In the Feature Access settings, I enabled Add, Update, Delete, and Sync options.

However, when I attempted to edit the features in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4, I received the error: 'User has not been added [Advanced Editing]'.

Does editing in Enterprise require the user to have the Advanced Editing user type extension, even if topology is not included in the published ArcGIS service?
