      <title>How to escape the hash tag / pound sign / number sign in a query</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've got a ton of address records in a personal geodatabase that I need to geocode.&amp;nbsp; (it's in a pgdb because much of it is trash and scrubbing strings is easier for me in access....)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="min-height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Several thousand records&amp;nbsp; are in the form of:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="min-height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1234 S Main St #1&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="min-height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I want to select those that have the # sign in the address field, but I can't seem to figure out how to escape it for a literal interpretation in my selection query.&amp;nbsp; Once I do I can pop() the offending apartment number off and get back to geocoding.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
