Hi all,
Has anyone managed to geocode addresses with the new Euprope Geocode service from ArcGIS online? I Have matched over 96% of addresses which is impressive. However, all the points are approxiamtely 100 meters out. As this seemed to be a firly universal error I tried using different projection systems - in my case the British National Grid but no change. Anyone any ideas because I have loads of addresses to geocode and I cannot get it to work. I have also tried configuring my own address locator from our corporate gazetteer (LLPG) but it will not match addresses.
Thanks in advance,
Mark

Through ArcGIS Explorer, ArcGIS Desktop, ... ?

Would you please send me some sample data and describe the steps so that I can try to reproduce the problem? Then I will look into it.

Hi Mark,

I looked at the Geocoding_Result shapefile you sent me and realized that all the addresses you tried to geocoding contain only the street names, but no house numbers. The geocoder matched the addresses against the GBR_StreetName locator. They are only approximate locations. Please try some full addresses including house numbers, street names, city/postcode and countries and see if you will get more precise locations.

Thanks.

Regards,
Agatha
ESRI
