How do I import data from excel onto arcmap and still be able to change it out in the field?

I have an excel spreadsheet full of data that I would like to plot onto arcmap and still be able to change it out in the field. I was able to import the date into arcmap, but how would I create a feature class that is already filled in but still changeable in the field? I am new to arcmap and don't understand how to use this program that well. Thanks!

Arcgis has an extension for Excel.
