Does anyone have a solution on how to preserve image quality when importing a topo quad map into a file geodatabase. I know quality is somewhat reduced when brought into a geodatabse. Didn't know if there were any ways to improve this. Thanks.

Andrew,

Firstly, the raster quality is not changed significantly with the default settings, when using ??Raster to Geodatabase??. However, you can try different parameters before loading. Pls refer to ??an overview of raster storage settings?? from the Help.

Secondly, also advisable to try raster catalog or mosaic dataset and see if it meets your needs
