Post installation problem ArcSDE 10 on PostGIS 1.5.1 on PostgreSQL 8.4.4

Hello,
ARCSDE post installation reports that the system cannot find the specified path \lib\st_geometry.dll and \lib\libst_raster_pg.dll. Manually I copied both files from C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\ArcSDE\pgexe\pg841_st_lib to the following four folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\ArcSDE\pgexe\lib
C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\ArcSDE\pgexe\bin
C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\8.4\lib
C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\8.4\bin
Still problem not solved. Any suggestions?

FYI: Both PostGIS 1.5.1 and PostgreSQL 8.4.4 are not currently supported.

The issue is that somehow the post-install is missing an environmental variable and so it is trying to find the libraries at the root. Say ArcSDE is installed under C:\..., then the post-install is looking into C:\lib for the libraries ... so you may to put there *just* for the post installation.
