I'm importing a number of Excel worksheets into ArcMap to convert to shapefiles- they all have the same fields. There is one field I need to be formatted as a number in order to create a Join with another table and perform arithmatic.&nbsp; Everything is formatted the same in Excel, howerver, when I import the worksheets, for about 25% of them the field imports as a text field. I've been trying to work out how to convert this to a Double. It is really driving me crazy!
