Converting Polyline Features to Polygon Features

Hey guys, thanks in advance to anyone who reads this and has advice for me. Im trying to find a way to transform polyline features exported from "Surfer" (Groundwater Modeling Software) into polygon features inside ArcMap. I saw a closed forum dealing with this issue advising people to download ET GeoWizard free conversion tools. However, I can't seem to find a version that works with Arc10.3 on Windows 7. The software fails to install and gives me an error code #1001 and appears to be only usable with ArcMap 10.1. If anyone knows a way I can get around this problem please help. I also am unable to find a way to do this conversion inside ArcMap and Catalog without a 3rd party program. Thanks again

Arc 10.3? Is that a beta version?

Anyway, if you have the ArcGIS Advanced (ArcInfo) license you can do this in ArcTools>Data Management Tools>Features>Features to Polygons.

If you don't have an Advanced license then ET GeoWizards is the next best thing to use. I'm not sure if you will have to purchase a registered version or not. Some of the tools are free but others require you to purchase the program.

Hey thanks Jeff! I just mean I have ArcMap10 Service pack 3. I guess I don't have ArcInfo licensed because the "Feature to Polygon" function is not listed in my Arc Toolbox Data Management Tools>Features.

OK, if you have Arc10.0, then go to http://www.ian-ko.com/ and download the ETGeowizards version for ArcGIS 10.0

There is a version matrix on the Downloads page.

There is a side link to the Free Tools and the conversion that you're looking for is under the free tools so you should be good to go.

Hey Jeff! I got it to work, I was downloading the 10.1 version instead of 10.0. I really appreciate your help. All of the polylines that were closed converted with no problems. You don't know how much time this is gonna save me. Thank again for all the help!
