I work on SDE database. We creat a version from default, some data was loaded to the version (V1). We work on version created from V1,recondile and post to V1. V1 is reconciled to default. The reconcile is very slow and lots of conflicts even only one person change the same feature. Any idea how to solve the problem?

ArcSDE is not a database, it is the communication protocol used to access databases.

What software release versions are you using? What service pack(s) have you applied?

You also need to provide significant detail on the procedures you used to generate
so many conflicts.

- V

ArcGIS 10.
We have data (data in a region which is not in default) need to be added to the database. Before mergeing, the data need to be cleaned. A version (V1) was created from default. Load the data to V1. We work on version (V2)created from V1 to edit the data but won't post V1 to default before finish. Default is changed everyday. So v1 need to be reconciled to dafault. v2 is reconciled and post to V1. The reconcile between V1 and default, V2 and V1 generated lots of conflits. actually even no more than two people change the same feature, still have conflit.
