      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;hello,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;i want to use ArcScan to vectorize my scanned images, my images are .tiff&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;first I put my tiff image into ArcMap (the image is with colors) I geo-reference with control points then I rectify the image,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; the concern is when I try to open an edit session to activate the arcscann tools an error show up saying: error: No layer can be&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; updated&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;thanks for responding &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;sincerely yousr&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
