Cannot select feature with Select Feature tool but can select in attribute table

Hello,

At one time I was able to use the select feature tool on my projects but I am unable to do so now, only from the attributes table. I have checked to make sure the layer is selectable and the interactive selection is checked to new selection. What is odd is that I am unable to use the select tool on all of my projects. Any ideas?

I would suggest the following items to see if they help�??s resolve the issue for you. Please let us know if the issue persist, and if you are current with your maintenance, you are welcome to log a webform with us. Gracias, Valerie!

Suggestions:
1. Open a new mxd and add the layer
2. Then walk through the same work flow
3. If the issue persist, I would run the Check and Repair Geometry on the layer
4. Then walk through the same work flow again.
