If so, it could be that the tiffs are not geotiffs (no spatial reference information in the header). Are there world files for these tiffs. If so you need to tell ArcGIS that you want the world files to be read. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Click Customize on the Main menu and click ArcMap Options (or ArcCatalog Options, depending on the application you are using).&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Click the Raster tab in the Options window.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Within the Raster tab, click Raster Dataset and check the Use world file to define the coordinates of the raster check box.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Click OK.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;A href="http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#//009t00000028000000"&gt;World files for raster datasets&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <title>Newbie - Tiff File Import</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I'm pretty new to ArcGIS ans used MapINFo before.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I'm trying to import tiff files from the os open data cd, but it doesn't seem to load in at the correct size or location.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I think I may be doing something wrong.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Is it possible someone could give me a quick guide on how to do this :)?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Many thanks&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Lee&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
