Types of digitizing errors?

I'm a bit out of practice, so could use some help. What are the following two digitizing errors called, and what tool in ArcToolbox corrects them?

This error can be correct by using topology .

But If you want to correct it quickly using Arc Toolbox . so :

The first case ( a ) it can be corrected by using Trim Line tool. Trim Line—Help | ArcGIS Desktop

The second case ( b ) it can be corrected by using Extend Line tool. Extend Line—Help | ArcGIS Desktop

Assuming the intent is for the lines to intersect cleanly:

Example A is called an Overshoot.
Example B is an Undershoot.

And in old school coverage terminology, they could both be called dangles......with only one line into the node (end point). A split line, that is two lines/arcs coming into a single node would make it a pseudo node, if I remember correctly. Arcs were limited to 500 vertex/points and would sometimes require another node to break the line.

You could also create topology to detect errors and take necessary actions.
