netCDF raster and raster calculator?

Hello,

I have some netCDF data that I would like to manipulate using the map algebra function in Spatial Analyst. When I try to do this, the new raster is not created because it says that the input raster cannot be found. When netCDF data is displayed as a raster, is an actual raster file created? If not, is there any way I can save the displayed raster so that I can use it for data manipulation?

Hello jcot,

You cannot use a NTCDF raster layer in the raster calculator, but you can export each time slice as a raster and ingest them into the raster calculator. To do this just make sure that the time slice that you want is displaying then right click on the NetCDF layer and select data > export data. you can use these rasters in the raster calculator.
