Landsat 8 OLI using a Mosaic Dataset

Does anyone know what configurations will successfully generate a Landsat 8 OLI mosaic dataset? The options for creating a new mosaic dataset only include either 6-band Landsat 4-5 and 7 ETM+ configurations. There is no option for Landsat 8 OLI. Additionally, there are no working options via the add raster dialog.

Note that ArcMap 10.2 will now read the newer Landsat 5 MTL files as a raster dataset. Unfortunately, it will not successfully read the Landsat 8 MTL files.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.
