topic Issue when creating centroids. in Data Management Questions https://community.esri.com/t5/data-management-questions/issue-when-creating-centroids/m-p/472188#M26928 <HTML><HEAD></HEAD><BODY><SPAN>Hey guys, I wasn't entirely sure where to put this question but anyway hopefully someone can help me.</SPAN><BR /><BR /><SPAN>I'm trying to create centroids for a layer with a few thousand polygons.&nbsp; The layer is also joined to another excel table. After I add my new "X" and "Y" fields and calculate the geometry for them, when I try exporting the table to create an XY event, ArcMap just closes and gives me the standard "ArcMap encountered a serious application issue and needs to close."&nbsp; </SPAN><BR /><BR /><SPAN>I'm not sure what the issue is.&nbsp; I guess maybe it's struggling to export a table that size?
