Dear all,

I geocoded 4.4 million records using the US_Street_Addresses locator contained on the Arcmap 10 maps and data CD (slightly edited to increase the runtimememorylimit for faster processing). This resulted in a matching rate of 75%. I subsequently performed the exact same geocoding (same input file, same locator file, same everything - I only changed the output file location), and this resulted in a matching rate of 80%. I have noticed similar occurrences with past geocoding jobs. Does anyone else have the same problem - i.e., their geocoding results are not replicable? I am using the "Geocode Addresses" geoprocessing tool within ModelBuilder.

(As a general note, I try to do all of my geoprocessing in ModelBuilder so that my entire work flow is replicable, but I find that geoprocessing tools that have already successfully run will sometimes fail the second time, even if I have made no changes...)

Thanks,
Andrew
