Hi guys

Just wondering, are there any methods that is able to remove clouds in a cloud-filled image and consequently exposing the surface underneath? As far as I know, when clouds are removed, the patch below is considered a 'void'.

Thanks in advance.

Ben

Ben,

The pixels can be reconstructed using multi freequency SAR data. If you are working on LANDSAT image, you can merge SAR data with LANDSAT.

Also you can use cloud free image as a reference, but not much reliable.

Take a look at Automatic Cloud Cover Assessment algorithm. Also refer Automatic cloud detection from multi-temporal satellite images.
