I am using arcgis desktop 10... &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Should i install the "Arcsde for Microsoft SQL Server 2008" just to have sde - commands??? &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I am using windows 7 64 bit &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;thanks a lot&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;You don't need to install anything.&amp;nbsp; All you need&amp;nbsp; are the SDE binaries.&amp;nbsp; You can copy them locally from the machine where you have ArcSDE installed (you will need to configure your environment variables on your local machine after you copy the bin folder).&amp;nbsp; Alternately, you can always just run the commands directly from the location where you have SDE installed.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
