So if all your users have direct connections to geodatabases, is the giomgr_esri_(gdb).log and sde_esri_(gdb).log useful anymore? Should I be reviewing the sdedc_(dbms).log instead? Also, when I go into my sdedc_SQLServer.log file it has the following message:

SDE Server Release 9.2.0 is not compatible with the current Release 9.3.0.

I am not sure what this means. Any ideas?

Thank you,

Kobe

Direct Connect is going to log to the SDEHOME from which the connection is made;
if you decentralize your connections, you also decentralize your connection logs.

That message may just be from a 'sdesetup -o upgrade', which uses Direct Connect
locally on the server.

- V
