      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;This is a supported platform.&amp;nbsp; Please see the System Requirements page at&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://wikis.esri.com/wiki/display/ag93bsr/ArcSDE+Microsoft+SQL+Server+Database+Requirements"&gt;http://wikis.esri.com/wiki/display/ag93bsr/ArcSDE+Microsoft+SQL+Server+Database+Requirements&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;There should be no issues upgrading from SQL Server 2008 (RTM through SP2) to R2.&amp;nbsp; Nevertheless, always back up your databases before performing any upgrade.&amp;nbsp; When possible, test your upgrades on a development system before upgrading your production system.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
