ArcMap crashes when Reconciling database

I tried to reconcile my edits from a child version to the parent version (default) over the past couple of days but ArcMap keeps crashing every time I try and do this? Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions to fix this issue?

I am running version 10.2, windows 7

Hi Chad,

One way to trouble shoot this is to try the reconcile from the Versioning tool. If you already are, try reconciling using the Reconcile Versions tool. Does the crash still occur? Also, does the crash occur when using a different ArcGIS Desktop?

I have not tried using the tool yet and I have also not tried using a different desktop either. I am going to back up the database first and then I will give the other two solutions a try.

I had a alot of problems with my data/edits getting deleted when preforming reconciling and I have never used the tool.

Did the tool help? Or were you able to reconcile from another machine?
