      <title>Difference between sde.st_within and sde.st_relation_operators.st_within_f</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I was using the following in an Oracle where clause:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;[INDENT]sde.st_within(op.shape, z.shape) = 1[/INDENT]&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Most of the time the statement would work but occasionally I would either get a 'Error generating shape (shape2)' or a 'Error changing coordref (shape2)' error&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;After much frustration I changed the statement to sde.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;st_relation_operators&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;.st_within&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;_f&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;So far no errors.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Can anyone explain the differences between the two ways to call the st_within function?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
