Loading Multiple Shapefiles into a SDE Feature Class

Hello,

I have 2,600 LiDAR contour shapefiles that i would like to "merge" into one Feature Class in SDE. All have the same schema.

I found the "SIMPLE DATA LOADER" tool in SDE. However, that does not allow me to select multiple shapefiles, and i have to load each file individually.

Is there a way to batch or load multiple shapefiles at once into a SDE Feature Class?

Any help you can provide will save an intern from loading 2,600 files one at a time 😉

As always, after i post the question i find the answer.

If you use the Append command it allows you to add multiple shapefiles to a Feature Class in SDE.
