I need to deploy the arcsde service in one of the server.

in one of the machine i have arcgis server 10.4

in one of machine i ahve arcgis desktop 10.2

and Oracle 12 c is used as database

which machine should be used to install arcsde (arcgis server 10.4 or arcgis desktop 10.2) . I ahev arcgis sde 10.2 setp with 11g... will it work for oracle 12c too??? Please guide

What is the exact version of the SDE geodatabase?
What is the exact version of the Oracle database? (Example: 12.1.0.1)
Which version of SDE setup do you have with you now?
What is the exact version of ArcGIS Desktop that you have ( 10.2, 10.2.1, 10.2.2)?

Oracle 12c R1 (12.1.0.1) is supported starting at ArcGIS 10.2.1.

On a general note, ArcSDE can be installed on any of the Servers and an SDE Service can be created. You just need to make sure that Oracle Client is present on that server as well.

ARCGIS DESKTOP 10.2.1 (On Windows 2012 R2 server)

Arcgis Server 10.4 (On Windows 2012 R2 server)

i have ArcSDEOracle11g installer but i am not sure whcih machine should be

used to create sde service by installing Arcsde and my underlying database

is oracle 12c (geodatabase is 10.2.1)

You didn't answer all the questions...

What is the version of the sde geodatabase?

What is the version of the SDE Setup file that you have with you?

As I mentioned, ArcSDE can be installed on any of the servers and used to create the SDE Service. You just need to keep in mind the factors like available RAM, etc.

10.2.1 windows for oracle 11 g

that means is it ok to proceed installtion in arcgis 10.4 server machine...

will arcssde setup 10.2.1 will run without conflicting with arcgis serevr

10.4 version

Yes, installing ArcSDE on the machine having ArcGIS Server should not be an issue.

One more thing.. after creation od arcsde service whcih license it uses....

because if we are installing arcsde 10.2 setup on the machine which has

arcgis server 10.4 ...will it be any conflict of licenses for these

versions or i can start the sde service without any issues

You are using an ArcSDE Service, that itself indicates that you have the Enterprise license.

But anyway, there will be no conflict while creation or starting of the SDE Services because of this.
