The top one is a depth map in perspective. But please treat is as a 2D raster, not a 3D projection.</SPAN><BR /><BR /><SPAN>I want to extract the outlines of the mountains. This means finding the discontinuities in the depth map - abrupt changes mean outlines between different mountains.</SPAN><BR /><BR /><SPAN>I'm struggling to get a 'clean' result in arcgis. I want nice single pixel outlines. The problem is, most slope operations produce fuzzy results, and the Spatial Analyst 'thin' operation doesn't seem to work for me at all.</SPAN><BR /><BR /><SPAN>So, how can I extract nice clean single pixel edges, and then go on to vectorise them. Ideally I'd like to export the vectors so I can then display them with antialiasing.
