    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello all,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="min-height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a table sitting in an Oracle database that has an index on the key field.&amp;nbsp; I can open ArcMap and make a data connection to the table to see the data but the index isn't recognized by ArcMap.&amp;nbsp; There are 2 indicators that the index isn't being recognized:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="min-height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;When I look at the attribute table for the oracle table the column header for the key field doesn't have a * which indicates and index.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;When I attempt to join this table to another table I get a warning notice that performance may be slow since an index isn't on the oracle table.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P style="min-height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyone know how to fix this and make ArcMap recognize the index?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
