Make editable layer select-able but not editable

I would like to see an option that will lock a layer.

Often I have a layer that I need to be able to select so I can see it's attributes. However, I don't want to be able to move them.

Example. I am working with staking data in an electric distribution system.

I am snapping conductor and assemblies to poles. I need to be able to select the pole so I can see what it's attachements are but I want to NOT be able to move that pole.

This functionality is available in the current version of ArcGIS Pro 3.4 using the List by Editing tab of the contents pane. For more information on this feature, check out the documentation linked below.
