      <title>Best projected coordinate system for a study area in Southern Africa</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="min-height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have to an area extending between lat 0 and lat -35 and lon 9 and lon 45, in order to calculate the Topographic Wetness Index&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I was wondering which one of the following projections would fit better for my purpose: Equidistant conic, Lambert conformal conic, Albers equal area conic.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would also thinking to customize it by modifying the standard parallels of the chosen one so that they will be within my study area.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is this the right think to do?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="min-height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you very much in advance for your help.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="min-height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Alessandro&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
