topic prj to proj4 in Coordinate Reference Systems Questions

We have a need to convert several coordinate systems from ESRI's .prj to the PROJ4 standard. Is there a way to do this without scripting? I have found resources online that detail python scripts but I was wondering if anyone knew of another way to convert these coordinate systems so they can be used in another software (for geotech) along side Arc.
