I read through some other posts on this topic and was alerted to the https-http inconsistency issue others have had.

In fact, when I link to other pages on that secure website just to test this issue, I also get nothing.

Any ideas?

Follow up to my post:

I fundamentally misunderstood how to create and link to the content. I assumed I could simply copy and paste a link to the page I wished to show in my Story Map, but the fix was to make a web map in ArcGIS online with appropriate layers and edits of content, save it to My Content, then link to it through ArcGIS My Content rather than Link to Content.

Hope this helps others with a similar misunderstandin
