Story Map - Map loading issues and error

I have a student who completed a story map, but, when I open the app, the map does not display and it says "Something went wrong, the Map did not load correctly." Does anyone know what may cause this to happen? I told the student to ensure that the Map and the App are made public, but, that did not fix the problem.

The application is public but the first webmap used in the application is not. That's this webmap http://umn.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=5191e61940ca4bec95d89af426305e66

You have to make sure all the webmaps are public, we have recently released a new tool on our website to help you check that kind of things My Stories | Story Maps If you sign-in with your account and find your stories it will tell you which webmap are not shared and let you share them from it.

I asked him to check that the maps are public, perhaps he did not understand my question... I will reiterate this again. Thank you for the information on My Stories, that is really helpful and makes managing story map content more efficient!
