I am wanting to use that url link to play slide show photos of property. In theory I am thinking this is going to work but has anyone else tried it?

Story book draft. I am wanting to replace the property image with a slideshow.

Feature Service created from the builder should always have a field named pic_url (alias is 'Picture URL').
If you don't have two fields named pic_url and thumb_url, you won't be able to use video. More details on github here and here.

If you don't want / can't create the Feature Service from the builder, yes you can create those fields yourself, populate them and make sure to have use #isVideo at the end of your video URL.

Using a custom Feature Service is possible but it will require you to read a bit the documentation to make it works. Please take a look at the previous two links I gave you. You need to have two attachments per feature (even for the videos). You need to add pic_url field and also thumb_url.

Alternatively I would recommend that you create a Feature Service from the sample CSV we distribute and start rebuilding your Map Tour from scratch. Add your points with image, then use ArcGIS.com viewer to edit the pic_url when you want a video. if you have an organization, add the CSV as an item and choose to create a service.

When your Feature Service has the pic_url and thumb_url fields, those will always be used.
In your case, they are empty for the points you didn't edited manually, that's why nothing will be displayed.
You have to fill these fields for all your points. I thought it was documented in the link I sent, I will make sure to better document that.

You have two solution to edit your points that use picture:
* get the URL of all your attachments and fill the pic_url and thumb_url field in ArcGIS.com viewer (if you activate the popup on the layer you can see the link to the attachment. That can be pretty fast to do)
* use the builder "Change media" and upload all picture again. This will fill the fields correctly.

What you are trying to achieve is kind of hacking. You can still start over and create the Feature Service from the builder, upload all your points with pictures. Then go to ArcGIS.com viewer and edit the URL for one you want to use video or slideshow.

When the media isn't an image, the panel take a fixed aspect ratio, that is not configurable yet.

When the media isn't an image, the panel take a fixed aspect ratio, that is not configurable yet.

so your saying I have to populate the URL fields with a url link even though I have attachments in the feature class?

That was a nice advantage of the attachments is we didn't need to fill in the URL links.

Yes.
We will simplify that kind of advanced use case in the future but from now the app is designed with builder use case first.

Ok, I did as you instructed.

I updated the URL links for pic and thumb.

However, now my Intro photo does not work.

I even removed the images and added them again via the map as new attachments and opened and copied and pasted the URL.

Still no introduction main page photo.

Any ideas as to why that photo does not display but the others do?
