Hello again!

Two more suggestions for the design of the mobile mapping application:

at the initial start of the crowdsource map the navigation menu at the bottom are not visible (iPhone 5)
there is no button for "full extent"
scrolling is difficult for the users, because there is only the small area at the top (with the social media icons) to scroll the page (otherwise you move only the map extent)
the social media buttons take much precious space - is there any idea for an alternate solution?

Thanks you for your feedback on our beta release of the Story Map Crowdsource. As we continue to update the app for a final version, we are looking to make sure this app runs well on as many devices as possible. Here's a response to your specific questions.

at the initial start of the crowdsource map the navigation menu at the bottom are not visible (iPhone 5)
- We have seen that this is a problem on iPhones but unfortunately did not have time to fully resolve it in the first beta release. Unlike others browsers, Apple does not provide a reliable way to get the size of initial view.
there is no button for "full extent"
- We initially removed this to save some of the screen space of mobile devices. Based on feedback, we'll look into adding this back in.
scrolling is difficult for the users, because there is only the small area at the top (with the social media icons) to scroll the page (otherwise you move only the map extent)

- We believe that sharing is a very important part of the crowdsource app to bring more contributors to the story and we want to keep it in a prominent spot. That main header bar also normally includes a logo which many organizations want to keep visible to provide a sense of identity. We'll see if there is a good solution to reducing the size for small mobile devices while still making sure both branding and sharing remain prominent in the app.

Thank you for your answer to my feedback. Your App is really a very exciting thing and the amount of feedback you received, demonstrate that a lot of people are interested in this development. I also believe, that sharing and branding (logo) is very important.
