Embedding Cascade story maps into tabs of Series story map

I'd like to create a series story map and embed a cascade story map into some of the tabs of the series story map. First, is this possible? Second, will I need to first create the cascade stories before creating the series story map?

Hi Rebecca -- Yes, that is possible. As you suspected, you would create the cascade stories first. Then you'd copy each cascade story link and add it to the series using the Web Page option.

However, I'd recommend that you strongly consider using the new ArcGIS StoryMaps for this project. Using the new builder, you can create stories with a similar scrolling style as the classic cascade template and then add them to a collection to group them together like chapters in a longer story.

Using the new builder, you can create a storytelling experience similar to a cascade. Cascade's immersive sections would become sidecar blocks that use the floating panel style. There's also a story navigation feature that is analogous to cascade's bookmarks. With ArcGIS StoryMaps, you'd enjoy new features such as themes, express maps, autosave, and the ability to upload video files and preview what your story will look like on different devices. You can also make unpublished changes to stories you've shared, which is a big benefit when you have a story that might be updated in the future.

While there may be a few things you could do with cascade and series that are not available right now in the new builder, there are many more new features and enhancements planned for ArcGIS StoryMaps in the coming months (including bulleted and tabbed layouts for collections that mimic the classic series template).
