Map layout problem

Hi Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the green lines running through my map layout. I have no idea what they are or how to get rid of them.

Are you sure there are no other active layers in your map ?

they look like one of the line types that you can specify when you made the grids and graticules. There is a horizontal and vertical option for drawing the lines, by default the horizontal is 'on' if memory serves. Obviously you just want the ticks to show on the side.

Same issue here Weird lines appearing on my layout view in ArcMap

Don't know why it comes, but you can try the following.
In Layout view, Use Select Elements tool and drag a rectangle over the green lines. DELETE.
While viewing, you won't see it as selected with Select Elements tool. But if u drag a rectangle over it with select elements tool and delete it, it will get deleted.
