I miss ArcReader - what's the alternative?

Hi,

I know ArcReader is a thing of the past. I have taken a career break from GIS and am now back and am wanting something with a similar function as ArcReader but not sure what that is.

I can publish my layers to ArcGIS online or Portal for ArcGIS (enterprise) and create a web map there to share with others but I don't find it nearly as easy as it used to be with ArcPublisher/ArcReader to share a nice looking quick read only map with people in my team with the click of a button.

What is the best workflow?

Just to say, I *still* miss ArcReader too! There still isn't an alternative that allows you to easily share a read-only map with a few people (without venturing into additional licences, etc. for web mapping users).
